Welcome!
A lot of time and effort has been poured into making my land resemble its namesake. The fruit and vegetable gardens require a good bit of work but are very rewarding. We enjoy fresh vegetables from early summer well into autumn. I also can 20 or so pints of sliced hot peppers and freeze shredded zucchini and mashed pumpkin for soups and bread. My peach trees produce a great crop each year. We use ripe peaches for smoothies, jam, pie, and snacking. Winter is a time for pruning shrubs and trees or cutting up fire wood for the following winter. It is also a time to make maple syrup. We usually make a couple gallons which is more than enough for breakfast meals and also for baking, often as a substitute for sugar, and gifts! The pup below is ToryBurch, our mighty steward of the farm.
